If you are following along in the news like most of us are you know COVID-19 has caused so much devastation in our families, communities, and the world as we know it. We want to share with you what we are doing to keep our small business going. Liv Rocks is managed and ran by my 10-year-old daughter, Liv. While it may seem, like a fun hobby for a kid it actually is a decent business that helps our family with some expenses so it is critical. So to keep business flowing, we are now making fashionable face masks to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. While you should be staying home and practicing shelter-in-place when you do have to leave (i.e. grocery shopping, pharmacy run, hitting up the In-n-Out Drive Thru), you can protect yourself and look amazing while doing it.
In a recent Cambridge study, researchers tested a wide range of household materials for homemade masks. They measured what percentage the materials could capture viruses and bacteria in comparison to common surgical medical-grade masks. Based on this research, we are confident that our masks are at minimum 65% effective in keeping out viruses and bacteria - and we don't need any research to prove they are 100% attractive.
Our masks are made our of top fabrics that are comfortable to be worn all day. For every fashion mask purchased the profits will go to purchasing surgical/KN95 masks for frontliners in our community of Nothern California. This is just a small way we can give back and do our part in supporting the people that are risking everything to keep our communities healthy and safe.
All masks (both fashion and utility) are proudly produced in Los Angeles by members of our team that we are no longer able to employ, but who could really use the supplemental income. To further provide support to these team members, we are taking additional monetary donations at checkout. If you are able to, we would be so incredibly appreciative of any extra amount you can give - 100% of this money will go back to these team members we love and that are in need.
We appreciate your support and while we want you looking fly in our masks we look forward to the day when you won't need them.
